5 Of The Most Misunderstood/Overused Words In Hip Hop’s Vocabulary
5. Career:
A career doesn’t end because songs stop being hot, or because some un-Hip Hop incident occurs. Careers, unlike jobs, twist & turn according to the individual’s interest. In theory, if an actual career begins, it’s not truly over until the person tragically fuck something up or dies.
4. Support:
Is it really support if you ask for it before it’s extended? Personally, solicited support is no different than fake support, & the closest I get to fake support is pretending the XBOX Live IT guys I’m arguing with live in America. No matter what I’m doing, I want people to come to me of their own volition. Especially if I’m doing whatever it is for free, already.
3. Hustle:
Rap didn’t begin as a hustle. Rap music was an art of expression. An organized confusion that only spoke to a specific few. Now it’s bottled up & distributed like crack crumbs to whoever is willing to take a hit. The desire to leave a legacy has been replaced by the urge to stack racks.
2. Hate:
Telling me I’m a “hater” because I don’t like something is like calling me a fish because I know how to swim. It’s bad enough that the ‘Net has successfully assassinated independent thought & centralized opinion. Now, when If I do muster up the energy to defend my position, I have to be bombarded with being belittled.
1. Classic:
Remember that girl in high school that all the cool guys boned? That cute little chick who got tossed around so much that any depth & worth she once had is virtually non-existent now? Well, this word is her written doppleganger.

No. 3 is so true it hurts. No. 2 just reminds me to embrace the hate. I LOVE to hate shit that I hate. I don’t even feel I have to defend it sometimes. If I hate it, I hate it. My perogative.

what gets under my skin the most, for the most part bullshit is put ahead of real issues in the states, getting the same here in OZ, but the media dictates what peeps should care about, eastern horn of africa millions are dying , western media reports on some entertainment bullshit instead, because it’s boring on how our cheap goods are produced. and yeah china getting in good now with em because africa has alot of the rare minerals on lock for western bullshit “smart” phones
