Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, and Andy Samberg are members of the rap/comedy group The Lonely Island & I’m a fan. But my love for them is actually an extension of my Andy Samberg standom. Though many people have no idea who he is, I think he’s a genius.
& I don’t say that type of shit often.
The Lonely Island’s brand of rap music isn’t far removed from what Weird Al Yankovich did for/to musicians in the 1980′s. The only difference between Al & The Lonely Island, though, is that Al Yankovich couldn’t sing, meanwhile The Lonely Island is rapping circles around half the “rap industry” without even trying.

Lonely Island are a trip. Still think they shouldnt have won that Grammy though. Then again I have to keep reminding myself the Grammy staff doesnt know hiphop.
